DON’T CHASE BUTTERFLIESA Story With A Valuable Lesson.A young lad asked his grandfather,”Grandpa, I want to be a star, I want to be in movies. When I grow up, I want to see the world, drive nice cars, and live in a house made of glass. Yes, I really want to be successful and great. So tell me, how do I chase all my goals, and catch them faster?”The grandfather stopped for a moment, turned around, and then spotted a huge and super beautiful butterfly dancing on a flower. At once, he said,”Oh, my God! What a magnificent butterfly! Now, hurry… hurry and chase after it! Make sure you catch it! Don’t let it fly away! Move!” The young lad hurriedly ran to the butterfly, but as he tried to take hold of it, the butterfly suddenly flew up into the wind. He ran after it, trying to catch it, but it was flying so fast. He ran around and around the garden until he got tired, and then he could no longer see the butterfly. Panting with loss of breath, he returned to his grandfather, wheezing, “I couldn’t catch it, grandpa! It flew away!”The grandfather smiled for a moment, then held the young lad by his hand and took him to a corner. He waited until he calmed down, then he whispered into his ear, “Listen, boy, let me teach you a lesson, a valuable life lesson. If you spend your time chasing butterflies, they’ll fly away. But if you spend your time creating a beautiful garden, the butterflies will come to you. You see… that butterfly is like your goals in life. In our journey of success, it’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of immediate goals, the fleeting butterflies of life. However, the real magic happens when we focus on building something substantial, akin to cultivating a vibrant garden. Instead of relentlessly chasing, channel your energy into creating and nurturing. Build something meaningful, whether it’s a project, a skill, or a relationship. The beauty you will cultivate will attract opportunities, experience, and success naturally. So don’t chase love, money, or success. Become the best version of yourself and those things will come to you.”I let my stories teach the life lessons.

THE FISHERMAN AND HIS SONA Short Moral Story.A young lad asked his fisherman father, “Papa, is it okay to tell people about my goals and dreams in life?” The fisherman was silent for a moment, then asked,”Why do you want to know that?” The young lad answered,”Well, papa, I have many big dreams, really big! I want to be of impact in all areas of life, to my generation and all aspects of life. However, I don’t know if I should or shouldn’t tell people about these dreams I have.” The fisherman smiled, then said,”You know what… let’s go catch some fish in the river. And then, we will continue this conversation, okay?” At that moment, the fisherman and his son took their fishing equipment and went fishing. At the river, they put a piece of bait on the hook and casted the fishing rod into the river to catch a fish. A few hours later, they had already caught a lot of fish and their basket was almost filled. The fisherman then stopped, pointed at the basket, and said to his son,”Take a look at all these fish in the basket. They’ve been caught by the hook, and their fate is now different from that of those in the river. These fish have lost everything in their lives; their families, friends and home. Sadly, they will have to suffer and be killed in a gruesome way. Some will be fried, some baked, some berbecued, some grilled, some steamed, etc.  Do you know why they have to go through much misfortune?” The boy thought for a minute, then shook his head and said,”I don’t know, papa. Tell me.” The fisherman took a deep breath, and then whistled,”Well, it is because they couldn’t close their mouths. It is stated that a fish with a closed mouth never gets caught by the hook. It never falls a victim.” Upon saying that, the fisherman patted his son’s shoulder, smiled and then continued, “Son, this is what happens in real life. Many people have failed and lost everything they ever acquired in life because they opened their mouths too wide and told other people about their dreams and plans. A good reason to guard your senses and keep your mouth shut about upcoming projects is that most people do not want to see you succeed. This is a piece of advice to save your plans from being sabotaged by people who envy you. You should never announce your dreams until they are close to completion. Many people will do everything in their power to send a dagger through your chest just to ensure you don’t succeed. A closed mouth never gets into trouble. Keep your big move a secret. Move in silence. Take action, and shock people with your results.”Author: Chima_Dickson Official I let my stories teach the life lessons.
