cyanide in apple seeds

There was a recent murder case in Australia, when an Indian woman murdered her husband by giving her crushed apple seeds. She and her boyfriend were found guilty and sentenced to 22 years and 25 years in prison. I have never known that apple seeds contain cyanide. I searched for information & was surprised to find cyanide in apple seeds. This is one reason why insects do not attack an apple crop. They know, naturally. Be sure to remove the seeds before eating the apple. * Do not give whole apples to children. Instead, remove the seeds before giving them. *
If in doubt, you can Google the veracity of my observations. (Google states: “When the seeds are damaged, chewed or digested, the plant compound called amygdalin is reduced to hydrogen cyanide. It is highly poisonous and dangerous in amounts 4 and 5”). Please spread the message to as many people as you can.
